Susan M. Clambey is active as a composer, organist, vocalist, pianist, and teacher. Since her youth, she has learned and loved the great musical heritage of the Protestant Church. The literature of Hymnody is rich and inspiring to her as a composer. Beginning to play the pipe organ for worship during her high school years, she has since played on more than sixty different organs, over six decades.
As a music graduate of Concordia College, Moorhead, MN, she sang in the famed Concert Choir, under the direction of Dr. Paul J. Christiansen.
As a music teacher, school children from preschool through secondary levels have benefited from her enthusiasm and positivity. Her love of the pipe organ has kindled many years of giving organ demonstrations to youth.
Please read my Greetings for the Season & Calendar pages
which I update frequently.
As a commissioned composer, her pieces have included choral works, vocal works, various instrumental ensembles, multiple pipe organ hymn tune settings, a sacred Christmas pageant on the elementary level, and a large work for Concert Band.

As a musician herself, she continues to enjoy a private studio, her composing, plus organ playing. Often her love of the flute, handbells and piano surface in her compositions. As an avenue to continue singing, Susan is pleased to sing virtually with the Stay at Home Choir from London, that is now known as the World Choir. She sings frequently for the Fargo Moorhead Area Music Club.
As a professional musician, she maintains membership in:
National Federation of Music Clubs, national, state & local;
Fargo Moorhead Area Music Club;
the Music Teachers National Association, national, state & local;
the Fargo Moorhead Music Teachers Association;
the American Composers Forum;
the American Guild of Organist, national, state, & local.

A Special Thought for Each Day

As a way to give back to community, over the years Susan has been happy to donate several of her concert events as Benefit Concerts. Recipients have been Habitat for Humanity, World Hunger Appeal, various food banks, shelters for the unhoused, plus Lutheran World Disaster funds.
As a family member, Susan and her husband Gary, a retired university professor, reside in Minnesota. They share two grown sons, and grandchildren to enjoy. On this website she also is sharing her hobbies
which include photography, embroidery, and gardening with perennial
flowers and reading.
Susan hopes that you will find her compositions to be worshipful.
